WHAT IS GAGA?
GaGa is a high paced, fun and inclusive game for all ages and abilities. The game has gained much popularity over the past few years, but it has been around for decades.
GaGa Game Rules:
-
All players start in the GaGa pit touching the sides.
-
A single ball is thrown up to get the game started. Then after it is thrown, players yell, "Ga" each time the ball bounces and the ball is in play after the second bounce ("Ga," "Ga," "Go")
-
Players hit the ball using one hand. The ball is never picked up, thrown or kicked.
-
If the ball touches a player anywhere below the knee that player is eliminated for that round and must leave the pit.
-
A player cannot touch the ball two times in a row, unless they bounce it off the wall in between hits.
-
If the ball is hit out of the pit, the player who hit it out is eliminated.
-
If a player who is already out of the game, catches a ball in the air that has gone out of the pit, they are allowed to re-enter the game.
-
The last player in the pit is the winner and starts the next game.
-
Games are quick and kids get back in the action in no time!
